Kforce Disaster Recovery Planner in Atlanta, Georgia

Kforce has a client seeking a Disaster Recovery Planner in Atlanta, Georgia (GA).Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating development, implementation and maintenance of all IT Disaster Recovery Plans across the enterprise for both domestic and international sites

  • Help develop, implement and manage programs to ensure that the operation of critical business processes and product / service capabilities meet and exceed business unit and customer requirements

  • Ensure that capabilities and requirements are measured, constantly confirmed, correctly aligned, and reported to Management

  • Help identify impact resulting from disruptions and disaster scenarios that can affect our company domestic and international operations

  • Assess strategies that can be used to quantify and qualify such impacts

  • Establish critical functions, their recovery priorities, and inter-dependencies so that recovery time objectives can be met

  • Plan and conduct disaster recovery exercises to validate disaster recovery plans and incident response plans

  • Assist and lend support in actual disaster response and/or incidents of business disruption

  • Train and educate business management on business continuity principles

  • Learn and work with the business continuity software tool, leverage tool to provide disaster recovery statistics / metrics, business recovery capabilities, and technology risks to business and information technology leadership

  • Participate in new mergers and acquisitions to integrate technology into our company environment and provide expertise in disaster recovery builds

  • Assist in the integration and planning of any pre-integration testing

  • Participate in meetings for critical and complex department projects

  • Develop and track project plans

  • Inform Business Continuity Director or Leads of any issues, concerns, or vulnerabilities in projects

  • Accountable for successful project delivery

  • High School diploma or GED / equivalent; an Associate's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Accounting, Emergency Management

  • 5 years of experience the field of Information Technology, Systems and Application Development / Support, Infrastructure support, Disaster Recovery

  • 3 years of use and experience in leading teams or project management

  • 3 years of use and experience in advanced technology analysis and diagramming

  • General knowledge of various technology components relating to mainframe, server, database, network, storage, SRM, and data replication technologies

  • Knowledge of leading technology recovery products, vendors, and emerging solutions (i.e. cloud, DRaaS, data center modeling)

  • Knowledge of insurance, financial, IT, and risk management operations

  • Familiarity with business operations, critical business processes, and interdependencies on systems and applications

  • Participate in incident and disaster response efforts

  • Analyze Problems and Make Decisions: Commit to a course of action after identifying and assessing alternatives based on logical assumptions, facts, resources, constraints and organizational values

  • Build Credibility and Trust: Adhere to our company values and high ethical standards of behavior by demonstrating respect, honesty, consistency and fairness when interacting with colleagues, customers, business partners and other stakeholders
