Service Area Overview:

Northside Hospital is highly respected throughout metro Atlanta for its state-of-the-art imaging services and is ranked No. 1 by Atlanta consumers. Northside was the first in Atlanta to offer breast tomosynthesis, also known as 3D mammography, the latest tool in the fight against breast cancer, and is designated a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology. Northside’s vast network of convenient imaging centers offers a comprehensive array of advanced technology in a variety of subspecialties, including women’s imaging, pediatric imaging, cancer, neuroradiology, orthopedics and interventional radiology. Each center offers a dedicated team of board-certified, specialty trained radiologists, leading-edge technology and a caring compassionate staff that is committed to patient safety and comfort.

Position Description:

Coordinates daily activities and distribution of work during scheduled shift. Monitors work of assigned staff and acts as a professional resource. May work with neonates, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. The Lead Radiologic Techologist/Screen Atlanta works with women over thirty five years of age.

Position Requirements:

REQUIRED: One (1) year previous experience in diagnostic radiology as a technologist. 2. Ability to deal tactfully and pleasantly with various types of patients, visitors, physicians, and other personnel. 3. Certified in cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR). PREFERRED: In addition to the above, all Lead Radiologic Technologists must have the following: 1. One (1) year prior experience in mammography.
