As a Senior HR Manager, you will support 2 business segments within our Tax and Accounting North American operations. You will be an integral part of the business team specifically partnering with leaders to translate business strategies and objectives into tangible human capital plans and executing against those priorities. You will address the critical elements of organizational effectiveness, including workforce planning and analytics, talent and performance management strategies, the people dimension of transformation and change management, employee relations and the lead for local implementation of global HR initiatives. You will also help improve key components of change leadership, including leadership development, process or technology adoption, and culture. You will be accountable for facilitating effective relationships with human resource shared services centers, as well as business leaders.
In this role, your key responsibilities will include:
Define the segment HR strategic plan based upon business and global HR priorities. Implement the strategy and manage programs designed to drive efficient operations and results of the business.
Consult with senior leadership on talent and organizational implications of business objectives and provide expertise on maximizing the results of the organization's talent resources. Lead annual and quarterly workforce planning efforts (in conjunction with recruitment) to assure we have the right capabilities in the organization at the right time.
Lead annual HR processes such as talent management & succession planning, employee engagement action plans, performance management, and annual compensation planning (including base, short-term incentives as well as sales compensation).
Coach employees and managers to drive desired business results and assure effective career development plans.
Review non-merit salary changes, promotional approvals and equity reports to ensure compliance and equity within the organization.
Consult, support and recommend appropriate actions for employee relations, investigations, dispute resolution, and performance management issues in conjunction with the Employee Relations function.
Partner with Human Resource Centers of Excellence (COE) to implement programs and initiatives that fit unique business needs. Partner with our Human Resource Service Center for operational support.
Facilitate training workshops, as needed.
As a top candidate, you will have knowledge and experience in the following areas:
Proven expertise in developing client relationships at each level in the organization as well as develop and execute against annual human capital plans.
Advanced working knowledge of human resource functional areas (employee relations, performance. and talent management, career pathing, compensation, engagement, change management, organization design/effectiveness, etc) with ability to coach & guide others through processes.
Proven experience in investigating and recommending resolution for simple to complex workplace issues based on a best practices approach, which includes proper documentation, tracking, and trend reporting and analysis.
Ability to understand organizational metrics and reporting to identify trends and make recommendations for action.
Must be current on human resources-related federal, state, local and company rules and regulations.
Working within a distributed Shared Service Human Resource model.
PeopleSoft or other similar HRIS or ERP application.
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field.
Minimum 10 years of progressive Human Resource Generalist experience supporting a designated client group preferably in a professional services B2B environment; 3 years' experience developing and executing against a strategic HR plan, and 3 years supporting variable compensation planning processes (bonus and commissions)
Advanced written and verbal communication skills including facilitation and presentation experience
Problem solving, diagnostic and consulting skills; Ability to use practical common sense and translate data to make decisions and determine priorities
Ability to influence and drive results through others at all levels in the organization
Ability to drive organizational change while coaching managers through the process
Demonstrated project management skills
Ability to react with a sense of urgency
Ability to manage significant workload with multiple concurrent deliverables
Familiarity with human resource automated processes
Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (including Excel & PowerPoint)
PHR or SPHR certification preferred
